Rome Exhibition The Art Of Brick

Date(s): Until 25.04.16. Venue: SET - Spazio Eventi Tirso, Via Tirso 14, 00198 Rome, Italy.

Rated as one of the top ten must-see exhibitions by CNN, 'The Art Of Brick' exhibition has just had its stay in Rome extended to the beginning of next week (25th April 2016). This international exhibition was created by American artist Nathan Sawaya who has solely used LEGO® bricks to create over 80 contemporary sculptures. He has successfully transformed a ubiquitous, everyday toy into something large and artistically aesthetic by playing with perspective, colour, light and movement, which appeals to the young and old. Nathan Sawaya also creates several new sculptures created specifically for each exhibition, so no one exhibition is completely the same. The Art Of The Brick in Rome uses 1 million bricks for over 80 sculptures to create artwork that covers 12,000 square metres; 'Dreams are built… one brick at a time!', Nathan Sawaya.

Opening times: Monday - Friday: 10:00am to 8:00pm / Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am to 9:00pm / Last entrance is one hour before closing time / Tickets: 15.50 Euro (full price)
